Degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1991 from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He completed his doctoral studies in 1995. He studied specialization via MIR in Urology at Fundació Puigvert (I.U.N.A) in Barcelona.

He works with a Resident Doctor in the Emergency Department of General Surgery and the Digestive System of the Mutua de Terrassa Hospital 1993-1996. He began training as a Resident Internal Physician in Urology at Fundació Puigvert during the period 1996-2001. Assistant Physician of the Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Surgery Unit of the Fundació Puigvert and Emergency Service Coordinator 2001.

Assistant Physician of the Functional and Female Urology Unit and the Urodynamics Cabinet of the Puigvert Foundation (2002-2004). Medical Specialist in Urology in the Emergency Team of the General Hospital of Catalonia in 2004.

He is the author of chapters in different books and has published articles in national and international journals. He has collaborated as principal investigator in different research projects. He has participated in different congresses, meetings and conferences. He has received different awards: First prize in the Session of clinical cases of Urology Residents of the Catalan Society of Urology (2000). Third prize of the Frank A. Hughes Unified Clinical Case Contest and Victor A. Politano Imaging of the XXV Congress of the American Confederation of Urology and XI Congress of the Ibero-American Society of Pediatric Urology (2000). Beniqué de Plata as President of the Organizing Committee of the XIII Simposi de la Societat Catalana d’Urologia Tarragona 2007. Best Poster Award at the Simposi de la Societat Catalana d’Urología in 2008.

He is a member of the European Association of Urology, Spanish Association of Urology and the Catalan Society of Urology of whose Board of Directors he has been a member.

From 2004 to the present he has worked as an Assistant Doctor in Urology at the Joan XXIII University Hospital in Tarragona where he has focused his work as Coordinator of the Functional Urology and Urodynamics Cabinet. He has also focused his professional work on the development of Minimally Invasive Oncological Surgery and Laparoscopy and since 2017 on Robotic Surgery.

In 2006 he began his private activity at Clínica Monegal. In 2012 he participated in the formation of the Urology and Andrology Center of Tarragona and since 2019 he joins the team of Uros Associats (Private Urology Service).
