Dr. Laia Sabiote holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine – Hospital Clínic, University of Barcelona. She completed her residency in Urology at the Puigvert Foundation, including a rotation in the Functional and Female Urology Unit at the Hospital de Clínicas Unicamp in São Paulo, Brazil. She then pursued further subspecialty training in Functional and Female Urology at the Puigvert Foundation until 2025. During her residency, she won the Best Clinical Case Award at the XX Symposium of the Catalan Society of Urology and the 2nd UROSTAR Dynamics Award.
She is a member of the European Association of Urology (EAU), the Spanish Association of Urology (AEU), the Catalan Society of Urology (SCU), the Iberoamerican Society of Neurourology and Urogynecology (SINUG), and the International Continence Society (ICS). She is the author and co-author of numerous national and international publications. She has presented at numerous national and international conferences. She will join Uros Associats Clínica Sagrada Familia as a urologist in January 2025 to strengthen the Functional and Female Urology Unit.
