Dr. Maria Montlleó González has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona (1986), specializing in Urology via Mir at Fundació Puigvert in Barcelona between 1988-1992.
He has completed training courses in Director of X-ray Facilities for general radiodiagnosis purposes (2018) and on Radiological Protection oriented to interventionist practice (2018).
Assistant of the Urology Service of Fundació Puigvert from January 1993 to the present. He has developed his professional career in different Service Units: Renal Transplant Surgical Team, Endoscopy Unit, Open Surgery Unit and Reconstructive and General Surgery Unit. Currently responsible for the area of knowledge of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. As well as resident of Urology IUNA Fundació Puigvert between 1988 and 1992; he is also a member of the Haemostasis and Coagulation Committee.
Member of the Spanish Association of Urology and the Royal Academy of Medicine of Catalonia.
She is a Clinical Associate of the Department of Surgery Urology area of the Autonomous University of Barcelona and professor of the Master in Clinical Andrology of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
She has been awarded on several occasions: Professors Award SALVADOR AND JOSE MARIA GIL-VERNET 2011; Award “RAFAEL GUTIÉRREZ DEL POZO” to the best audiovisual in surgical technique. Laparoscopic uretero-ureterostomy in transplanted kidney, June 2010; JOAQUÍN ALBARRÁN Award for the best audiovisual communication presented at the LXXII National Congress of Urology. Laparoscopic partial nephrectomy in transplanted kidney, June 2007; PÉREZ-CASTRO Award for the article Laparoscopic nephrectomy of living donor for kidney transplantation: the first two years of experience, Arch Esp Urol 2004.
He has published more than 30 articles in national and international books and journals, as well as book chapters.
