Dr. Laia Sabiote has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine – Hospital Clínico, Universidad de Barcelona (UB), ​​​​she trained as a urology specialist at Fundació Puigvert, including a rotation in the Functional and Female Urology Unit of the Hospital de Clínicas de Unicamp de Sao Paulo (Brazil). Later he did the sub-specialization in Functional and Feminine Urology at Fundació Puigvert until 2025. During his residency she won the Best Clinical Case Award of the XX Symposium of the Catalan Society of Urology and the 2nd UROSTAR Dynamics Award.

She is a member of the European Association of Urology (EAU), the Spanish Association of Urology (AEU) and the Catalan Society of Urology (SCU), the Ibero-American Society of Neurourology and Uroginecology (SINUG) and the International Continence Society (ICS). She is author and co-author of national and international publications. She has presented multiple communications at national and international conferences. She joined Uros Associats Clínica Sagrada Familia as a Urologist from January 2025 to strengthen the Functional and Female Urology Unit.
