Dr. Esther Sotelo has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona. Specialist in Urology, doing training via M. I. R at the University Hospital of Vall d’Hebron. (Barcelona) Member of the Spanish Society of Urology and the Catalan Society of Urology.

Full-time specialist in Urology at Pius Hospital de Valls from 2000 to 2005. Simultaneously Assistant Emergency Physician specialist in Urology (MAU) at Hospital Vall d ́Hebron.

Assistant doctor of Urology at the Institut Català d’Urologia i Nefrologia (ICUN) of Barcelona, this allowed to acquire experience in techniques such as the use of the Holmium laser in the enucleation of the adenoma of the prostate, use for lithofragmenmtation; as well as experience in application of cryotherapy for prostate cancer, from 2005 to 2010.

Since October 2010 specialist in Urology at the Hospital de Sant Joan Despí Moises Broggi, of the Consorci Sanitari Integral. Since then she has been part of the working group dedicated to learning and perfecting laparoscopic surgery techniques, especially in oncological surgery.

He has also formed the follow-up group of patients with bladder tumors tributary of adjuvant endovesical treatment.

He is currently part of the Lithiasis Unit of the CSI, as well as an integral member of the Complex Surgical Patient Area, in which the multipathological patient is adapted so that he arrives in better conditions for the scheduled surgery.
