Dr. Juan Manuel López Martínez graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the Autonomous University of Madrid (2006). He specialized via M.I.R. in Urology at the Fundació Puigvert in Barcelona, receiving the Award for the best communication of the Societat Catalana d’Urologia in the last year of residency.

He holds accreditation for laparoscopic surgery from the European Association of Urology (E-BLUS examination). He has participated as a speaker in different courses and congresses of national and international scope, receiving different awards (Award for the best communication-video of surgical technique in urology of the Spanish Society of Laparoscopic Surgery 2012, Award for the best communication-video of surgical technique of the Catalan Society of Urology 2012 and Puigvert Foundation Award for the best communication in the session of residents of the Catalan Society of Urology 2012).

He has published several articles in national and international journals on bladder and kidney tumor and is a member of the Catalan Society of Urology, the Spanish Society of Urology and the European Society of Urology. Currently, he is part of the Spanish research group for Chronic Bladder Pain of the Spanish Association of Urology, is an assistant physician in the Functional Urology and Pelvic Floor Unit at the Puigvert Foundation, where he also collaborates with the Renal Transplant Unit and is a Collaborating Physician at Uros Associats of the Teknon Medical Center.

He speaks Spanish, English and Catalan.
